Howdy folks! It's time yet again for another edition of The Power of Pauper! I'm back after two weeks off, and we're diving into the Pauper metagame. The recent B&R announcement had no changes, which is great news, and MTGO replays are back! Let's explore how Pauper is shaping up this month.

Pauper has always been an interesting format and remains loads of fun. The recent BnR announcement discussed the format's health and highlighted new additions like Leonardo, Big Brother and Utrom Monitor. There was also talk about a trial unban of Bonder's Ornament, which could impact the aggressive nature of the format.

Currently, aggro decks dominate Pauper, with Mono Red Madness leading the charge. This deck has transitioned from a Rakdos focus to a pure red strategy, utilizing a straightforward manabase of Mountains. It has become the go-to red aggro deck, taking over the role previously held by Mono Red Rally/Burn decks.

Aggressive strategies are further supported by decks like Elves, which received upgrades from Modern Horizons 3, including Nyxborn Hydra. These decks have shown strong performance and a solid metagame share.

Combating these aggro strategies are the card-ref:Terror decks, primarily Mono Blue Terror and Dimir Terror. These decks excel with permission and removal spells, making it difficult for aggro decks to gain traction. The ability to play a one-mana 5/5 like card-ref:Terror with Ward 2 adds to their resilience.
